In Memoriam
Loralie Jean (Lori) Smith January 25, 1938 - January 12, 2012 Loralie Jean (Lori) Smith passed away peacefully in her home with family by her side January 12. She was born January 25, 1938 in San Diego, CA to Roman and Geraldine Manthei. She was a nurse and worked for Group Health Hospital in the new born nursery. In 1977 Bob and Lori moved to Lake Chelan as new owners of the Cabana Motel, which they operated for nine seasons. During that time they also opened a video store which they owned/operated for eighteen years. They semi-retired in Poulsbo, then settled in Lacey, WA. Lori was an avid duplicate bridge player, achieving a bronze life master in 2003. She loved to read, golf, camp, and travel. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Bob, daughters Sheryl Chriest, Joanna McCormack, Karen Thornton, and Amy Baquero, and son Mark Smith. She has twelve grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A memorial mass will be held January 19, 2012, 2 PM, at St. Michael's Parish, 1055 Boundary St. SE. Olympia, WA.
